About Rajeev Dayal, M.D.
Rajeev Dayal, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ and Chief of Vascular Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
A board certified vascular and general surgeon, Dr. Dayal specializes in performing minimally invasive vascular surgery and treats a full spectrum of vascular disorders. He has significant experience in advanced endovascular treatment of complex peripheral arterial disease, endograft repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections, carotid artery stenting, and endovascular treatment of chronic deep venous obstructive disorders.
Dr. Dayal has an extensive research background, having served as the principal investigator on six clinical trials earlier in his career. He is the author and co-author of more than 40 peer-reviewed publications in leading vascular, surgical, and cardiology journals and the co-author of six book chapters on vascular surgery.
Dr. Dayal lectures on clinical practice throughout the New York region and has given more than 25 scientific presentations at annual conferences, including the Society of Vascular Surgeons, the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, and the Eastern and New England Societies for Vascular Surgery. He serves as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the New York Society for Vascular Surgery, the Eastern Vascular Society, and the South Asian American Vascular Society.
Dr. Dayal earned his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers University (formerly UMDNJ), where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. Both his five-year residency in general surgery and two-year fellowship in vascular surgery were completed at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
